Peace Walk Set for Tuesday

Students have organized a Peace Walk on campus in order to promote peace, respect and unity at Penn State.

In a world where chaos reigns and breaking news reeks of tragedy, coming together as one is necessary in order to promote peace.

Students on campus have taken that step and have organized a Peace Walk to take place this Tuesday. The purpose of the peace walk is to promote respect and unity among the students at Penn State.

One of the organizers of the event, sophomore Jorge Zurita-Coronado, believes that it is our duty to create an inclusive campus.

“Building an inclusive and understanding campus is a shared responsibility that everyone has  here at Penn State. This event I hope will illustrate that every single community here at Penn State is committed to ensuring just that,” Zurita-Coronado said.

The walk will begin at 5 p.m. at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center located on Curtin Rd. and will end at Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center around 5:45 p.m. Following the walk, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from administrators and students on their vision of peace, respect, and coexistence at Penn State from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Those interested in learning more about the event or the walking route can do so here.
